The cold weather is providing lots of opportunities for wild bird photography. With regular feeding & unfrozen water birds willl frequent the garden from dawn to dusk. We have also been out in freezing cold hides photgraphing woodpeckers. Lots of new images to review!

We are currently working on new ideas & products for the 2012 shows. This includes a new range of white "linen" effect hand crafted greeting cards. We are also looking to exhibit our new range of canvas prints & acrylic panels during 2012.

First show at Towcester 10-11th March.

Unfortunately Wrest Park is no longer hosting craft shows but we encourage regulars at these events to come along to new shows organised by Romor Exhibitions at Towcester, Putteridge, Stowe & Knebworth. These should be great events. We are also exhibiting at Calke Abbey in Derbyshire for the first time and hope to be back at Wimpole Hall for the Christmas Craft Fair in November. We plan to add some more shows Sept-Dec in the near future.

January 2012 – We have made some significant improvements to the website. These include the inclusion of a Blog/Guestbook, a new Site Search option and the introduction of a Shopping Cart. More of the products we exhibit at shows are now available for online order and new print sizes, canvas prints and acrylic panels are now offered on selected images. Show edition prints are also available online for the first time.

January 2012 - I’m currently experimenting with garden bird photography using this motion activated digital camera.

January 2011- Visited the Royal Photographic Society head office at Bath on one of the year’s LRPS Panel Assessment days. A really interesting and inspiring day, and best of all my panel was accepted. See the "About" section to see my panel layout.

Another question that is often asked at shows. The vast majority of my photography is now digital but my film gear still gets the occasional outing with Fuji Velvia 50 or 100 transparencies my favourite film. There is still something quite special about working with film!

At shows I often get asked what camera gear I work with. My SLR cameras are Pentax. I currently use the Pentax K5 & K10D for digital work and the Pentax *ist for film work. Lenses are a mixture of Pentax & Sigma with the Sigma 105 DG Macro, Sigma 12-24 DG and Sigma 170-500 APO most often in use. I also occasionally work with a Nikon Coolpix 5100 attached to a Nikon Scope for wild bird photography.
