Where did 2018 go! It's March 2019

Can't believe it... I didn't post a single update to our blog last year. We were busy with craft fairs as always and we are now starting to get some events in our diary for 2019. Please visit our events section to see our upcoming craft & design shows!

The Autumn Craft Fair Season....

There is an Autumnal feel to the weather and we are about to start the busy season of weekend craft fairs through until early December. We kick off at the Gransden Show 2017 on September 30th... always a good show with loads to do. Hope to see some our regular customers there.

The Year Ahead

Already February and I'm sitting updating the website and taking photographs of birds visiting the feeders in the Garden. We already have a number of craft shows booked for 2017 and we are looking to add to our UK Wildlife portfolio in April & May. Please take a look at our "Event News" page. Our first event of the year will be the Easter Craft Fair at Hertford Theatre on Sunday April 9th!

Where did that year go?

Can't believe another year of photography and craft shows is over.... and we are already booking shows for 2017! Its been a busy year and we have enjoyed some really cracking events.

As always we would like to wish all our customers and crafting colleagues an enjoyable Christmas and a happy & prosperous New Year.

First Show of 2016

Our first show of 2016 is this Easter Monday, March 28th, at the Olde Watermill, Barton-Le-Clay. This handmade crafts and gifts fair is a new event at this very popular shopping venue.

Seasonal Best Wishes

We really enjoyed the festive shows this year and would like to thank everyone that visited our stall. We are already booking our events for 2016 but for the time being would just like to say "Merry Christmas & Happy New Year" to all our customers & crafter friends. See you all again next year!

Autumn 2015 Update

Can't believe that autumn is here and we are once again preparing for seasonal craft fairs in the lead up to Christmas!!! Our next show is on Sat 31st Oct & Sun 1st Nov. Its a terrific "Makers Market" run by Keech Hospice Care at Barnfield College, Luton. We are very pleased to be supporting Keech Hospice, and the vital support they offer, at this annual event. If you live locally please try to come along.

Summer Update

We now have a Summer break from Craft & Design events until the 26th of September when we will be exhibiting at the Gransden & District Agricultural Show.

In the meantime we are working hard on new designs for our products.... some of which will be available online very shortly. So please watch this space.

ClickOnNature Plans for 2015

As you will see from the "Event News" section we have five shows booked so far for 2015. We will be returning to Calke Abbey, Castle Ashby Gardens (May & November) and Wimpole Hall. These are always some of our favourite shows. Also new this year we will be exhibiting at the Woburn Abbey Garden Show at the end of June!

We expect to add 2 or 3 more shows to the events list so please watch this space.

We also have a couple of new photography projects planned starting with Kingfishers April/May.

Unfortunately we have had to increase our prices for some of our Imagecraft products this year e.g. mousemats, coasters and placemats. Sorry this is just down to the rising costs of materials. On the brighter side we have been able to reduce the prices of our framed prints.... same quality frames, mounts & prints though!

Lots of work on going to refresh our product range... look out for our new handmade children's aprons and a wider range of nature themed coasters, placemats and aluminium bookmarks in advance of the first show in early May.

We do hope to see you at one of our events later this year.... but in the meantime please remember you can order ClickOnNature products online and that we now offer bespoke (we print your photo) printing services for a small range of quality photo gifts.

Seasons Greetings

Can't believe another busy year of craft & design shows are over. The Christmas fairs this year have been well attended and great fun too! Our thanks to everyone who stopped by.

Now its time to contemplate some new photography projects and our craft show events list for 2015.

We would like to wish our customers, craft community friends and photography colleagues a very Happy Christmas and all the very best for the coming year.

New Event for 2014

We are pleased to be supporting Keech Hospice Care at their annual "Makers Market", Barnfield College, Luton on the 1st & 2nd November. This event will now kick off our run of four craft & design fairs in the lead up to Christmas. Take a look at our "Event News" section for more details and web links etc.

Summer Shows

Its been a busy Spring and this weekend we have the first of our two Summer Shows at Knebworth... Hopefully the predicted thunderstorms will not stop everyone having a great time! Our second Summer Show will be at Waddesdon Manor in early August. Do hope we will see you at one of these events.

In other news we are now printing our own jigsaws, mouse mats, placemats, coasters etc. We have also introduced a new photo gift product, Children's Aprons. These are currently only available at our shows but will be added to the website shortly.

Thoughts of the season ahead!

Firstly our thanks to everyone that come along to one of our Christmas shows at the end of last year. We hope you had a good time.

As always Jan & Feb are the months when we plan our event schedule for the coming season and we have now posted our event list for 2014. This includes some of our regular & favourite events, but also new events for us (Sywell at Easter & Waddesdon Manor in the Summer). We will also be returning to Knebworth & Blickling Hall; shows that we were not able to attend in 2013. Already looking forward to getting back on the road!

Its been a strange winter for wildlife photography locally. Not the expected frosty mornings often ideal for capturing images of feeding birds, nor the pristine snow covered landscape scenes. Instead the wind and rain and often poor light conditions have kept the camera in my rucksack for far too long. Like most of the UK I'm now looking forward to the Spring!

Autumn Update

At ClickOnNature we have spent the Summer increasing our image portfolio. We have travelled to central France photographing some wonderful butterflies. More recently we have photographed wild foxes and spent time on the Pembrokeshire coast photographing seals and the incredible shoreline scenery.

We thank everyone that came along to the late Summer and Autumn shows at Boughton House & Hyde End. Now we have two big Christmas fairs coming up, one at Wimpole Hall and the second at Castle Ashby Gardens. Also much closer to home we are looking forward to having a stall at Campton's Christmas Craft Fair! Hope you can get along to one of these excellent & festive Craft Fairs.

Your comments

Here are some comments from recent customers....

"Thanks for the lovely jigsaw!" - L.W. of Sutton Coldfield.

"Thrilled with the print. Thank you very much" - T.H. of Leicester.

"Thank you so much my daughter loves her prints" - H.B. of Northampton.

Our May Shows

Our thanks to everyone who came along to our May shows at Calke Abbey & Castle Ashby Gardens. Even the weather was good. Our next event is not until the end of August, but we do have some interesting photography planned!

March & April News

Cold March.... lots of wild bird photography! April has seen us planning for the first craft shows of the year. Looking forward to the warmer weather and getting back on the road!

February News

Have launched a website refresh with a wider selection of greeting cards (including some new mosaic designs) and some new jigsaws that we introduced at shows last Autumn. As often requested show edition prints ordered via the website are now mounted and ready for you to frame.

Please note that P&P is no longer included in website prices and online prices have been adjusted accordingly in line with show prices.

Unfortunately our planned 2013 shows at Knebworth House and Shuttleworth have been removed from our events list as the organisers have withdrawn these events.

However we do hope to see our regular customers at one of our remaining 2013 events.

And so to 2013

January.... Most of our shows for 2013 are now booked and listed in "Event News". New this year are shows at Castle Ashby, Boughton House, Shuttleworth House and Hyde End.

My new year resolution was to get out with the camera much more.... Just got back from sitting in a freezing cold bird hide photographing Lesser Redpolls. A really enjoyable morning.

2012 Round Up

A really busy last couple of months for ClickOnNature. We had three weekend shows leading up to Christmas (Wimpole Hall, Blickling & Bletchley Park)... all busy & fun shows. We also opened a stand at The Olde Watermill at Barton-Le-Clay. Our thanks to all the folks thats visited our website or exhibition stands in 2012.

We are now busy sorting out an events schedule for 2013.

July & August Update

A very quiet July for us but now working up stock for the show at Stowe Gardens over the August Bank Holiday. Also for the show at Knebworth House the following weekend. Hoping the current good weather continues.
Dave J

May & June Update

Enjoyed good shows at Calke Abbey & Bay Tree Cottage despite the unseasonable weather. Our thanks to all those who came along to our stand to say "Hello".
Dave J

March & April Update

Following the March shows at Towcester & Putteridge we have been busy processing images captured over the winter months. Also we have now confirmed our attendance at the Wimpole Hall Christmas Craft Fair for November and will be exhibiting at a Charity Lunch & Summer Fayre to be held at Bay Tree Cottage, Farthingstone in June.

Our next show is Calke Abbey in early May.... We are looking forward to exhibiting in Derbyshire for the first time.

February Update

The cold weather is providing lots of opportunities for wild bird photography. With regular feeding & unfrozen water birds willl frequent the garden from dawn to dusk. We have also been out in freezing cold hides photgraphing woodpeckers. Lots of new images to review!

We are currently working on new ideas & products for the 2012 shows. This includes a new range of white "linen" effect hand crafted greeting cards. We are also looking to exhibit our new range of canvas prints & acrylic panels during 2012.

First show at Towcester 10-11th March.

Experiments with WingScape BirdCam

January 2012 - I’m currently experimenting with garden bird photography using this motion activated digital camera.

January 2011- Visited the Royal Photographic Society head office at Bath on one of the year’s LRPS Panel Assessment days. A really interesting and inspiring day, and best of all my panel was accepted. See the "About" section to see my panel layout.

Digital or Film?

Another question that is often asked at shows. The vast majority of my photography is now digital but my film gear still gets the occasional outing with Fuji Velvia 50 or 100 transparencies my favourite film. There is still something quite special about working with film!
Dave J

Photography Equipment?

At shows I often get asked what camera gear I work with. My SLR cameras are Pentax. I currently use the Pentax K5 & K10D for digital work and the Pentax *ist for film work. Lenses are a mixture of Pentax & Sigma with the Sigma 105 DG Macro, Sigma 12-24 DG and Sigma 170-500 APO most often in use. I also occasionally work with a Nikon Coolpix 5100 attached to a Nikon Scope for wild bird photography.
